Surprise, Revlon ColourBurst Lipstick is finally here (Ontario)!

Went to Walmart for the purpose of finding Dr Scholl’s Comfort Insoles for Her, but you know that I have been longing for the Revlon ColourBurst Lipstick since forever so I check up the makeup counter and was very happy to find that they are finally here! The product just came. I was there as they unpack more boxes. I was so happy nobody tries the counter sample yet so I picked the colour I wanted and try them on. Well, actually I don’t have to try them on one by one. The one that I love is Soft Nude 070 and Peach 075. They look awesome!

The nude colour does not wash your face out! It has a little big pink pigment on it. As for the peach, I love it better than my Rimmel Crush because it is less orangy.

My first impression, “OMG these lipsticks look awesome”. I am falling in love with their packaging, its classic! I got them for $7.97 + tax each.

When I open the lipstick, the first thing I notice is that they have no scent, well at least no strong smell like my other lipstick. When I apply them, it glides nicely, feels creamy but not shimmery. They leave a glossy finish. I don’t know why the colour won’t show up if I use lip balm before applying the lipstick. I love having lip balm before lipstick. My lips get dry easily especially in winter time. I have to have lip balm on me every time. Maybe I’ll use less balm, like one coat only before applying the lipstick next time.

Here are some swatches. You can tell which is soft nude and which is peach : ) They are truly different colour. Left one is Soft Nude and right is Peach.

I apply soft nude on my upper lips and Peach on bottom lips. See the difference? But you gotta admit both look nice right? I don’t think the colour disappear “that” easily. I find them like others meaning apply only after eating, drinking and a couple hours. They are not long lasting, just normal.
